The PP has reached a pre-agreement of four to govern in the Maracena City Council (Granada) together with Vox, Quiero Maracena and Maracena Conecta 2023, an accelerated pact due to the step backwards of the PSOE candidate, Berta Linares, related to the kidnapping on Councilwoman Vanessa Romero last February.
The PP spokesman and candidate for mayor of Maracena, Julio Pérez, announced this Friday the four-way pre-agreement in which his party had been working since 28M.
After this Friday Berta Linares has announced that she will not be the socialist candidate for the investiture, the PP has called an urgent appearance in which it has announced this pact still with the "fringes" and red lines to be defined.
The popular candidate has highlighted that it is an agreement to add eleven councilors: the two from Vox, two representatives from Quiero Maracena and another from Maracena Conecta 2030, together with the block of six PP councillors.
"It is expedited in the face of the convulsive situation of the citizens, who do not ask loudly to make the agreement public," added Pérez, who pointed out that the principle of the agreement seeks to reassure the residents of Maracena and clean up the image of these months.
The PP spokesman has clarified that he also met with IU, who is not included in the agreement, but to whom he has offered to "collaborate" in the future to facilitate local regeneration.
The Vox candidate in Maracena, Juan Quesada, has considered that it was necessary to reach this preliminary agreement to end "16 years of corrupt government."
For his part, the candidate of Quiero Maracena, Miguel Ángel Fernández, has acknowledged that there are no fringes but that the four parties seek to build a "solid" base that prevents the future government of Maracena from "shaking", a solidity to clean up Maracena, "from debt to reputation".
The candidate of Maracena Conecta 2023, Amabel Adarve, has interpreted that Maracena has voted for the change and that the pact will seek to put the city in the place it deserves through transparency.
