The PP offered this Friday dialogue to the Government of Pedro Sánchez on relevant issues, such as the energy crisis or inflation, despite the fact that from La Moncloa a "combat riot" has been declared against the leader of the popular and opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijoo.
In statements to Telecinco collected by Servimedia, the general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, pointed out that it is "unprecedented" that the ministers have been dedicating a "chain of insults" to Feijóo for weeks, something that he attributed to knowing that he will be the next president of the Government.
Bendodo maintained that the string of disqualifications against Feijóo are not an "edifying exercise", despite which the PP responds with an "outstretched hand" towards the Executive and its manager, Pedro Sánchez, to negotiate relevant issues.
He affirmed that "at each insult" against Feijóo, the PP will make "a proposal for the benefit of the Spanish", who, in his opinion, see their desire to support the popular leader increased with the attacks he receives from the ministers.
According to Bendodo, in his party they are "delighted" to sit down to negotiate with the Executive on relevant issues such as the energy crisis, Justice or inflation and that Feijóo has already offered to negotiate five State pacts on these and other issues.
However, he pointed out that it is necessary for "the government to want and be able to respond positively" to the popular dialogue offer, since, in his opinion, Sánchez's parliamentary partners prevent him from reaching agreements with the first opposition party. He added that the reality is that the president "is tied to the Catalan separatists and the heirs of ETA", referring to ERC and EH Bildu.
On the other hand, regarding the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), Bendodo pointed out that the current leadership of the PP wants to start the negotiation “from scratch” and does not endorse any “secret pact” that the Government could have reached with the former popular leader, Pablo Casado.
