The PP of Madrid avoids censoring Aguirre's traffic cut in an act against the amnesty

The amnesty included in the negotiations for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez continues to capitalize on a good part of Madrid politics that today has addressed, among others, the recent demonstrations held next to the national headquarters of the PSOE and in which the former president has played a prominent role. of the Community of Madrid Esperanza Aguirre. After instigating the protesters to cut off traffic and occupy the road, PSOE and Más Madrid have charged against "the spiritual leader" of the current president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, while the popular ranks have avoided condemning what happened by appealing to the "personal freedom" of citizens to express their opinion in the streets.

"She is the anti-system leader of the country," said the PSOE-M spokesperson, Juan Lobato. "We are seeing a complete president who is dedicated to blocking traffic to organize a demonstration in her, in addition, she has not even blushed when listening to Franco's praise. This says a lot about the engine that moves Ayuso."

The socialist has lamented that "the capital of the Kingdom is run by people like this" for which he has made a "call for good sense so that Ayuso disavows its spiritual leader."

The opposition leader has expressed herself along the same lines. Mónica García (Más Madrid), who recalled that "this is not the first time we have seen her blocking traffic, she has already fled", in reference to the 2014 incident in which the former president of the Senate refused to identify herself, taking In front of his car was the motorcycle of a municipal agent who asked him for his documentation in the middle of Gran Vía in the capital.

García has insisted on the contradictions of someone who, when the PP was in Government, described it as "unpresentable" that the left wanted to "win in the street riot what it did not win at the polls" ensuring that "this is how the coup d'état was forged." and public space was usurped."

The Madrid PP, meanwhile, has avoided censoring Aguirre's attitudes. And despite the fact that the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, has assured that he does not support the former Madrid president cutting off traffic, the mayor of the capital, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has ironically stated that Aguirre "did not throw paving stones nor did he set fire to containers" during the rally. And, asked if Aguirre had a permit or not, Almeida maintained that Spain is a country in which "not having a permit does not seem to matter."

The PP spokesperson in the Madrid Assembly, Carlos Díaz-Pache, has also supported this defense of personal freedoms: "For the left now any demonstration in the street is an attack on coexistence and that reflects that the left is very nervous, because they have lost the street (...) That is why they reject the demonstrations which, by the way, do not leave any burned container or any broken glass.... they leave the streets clean, perfumed and without any incident", in reference to the weekend protests in which Aguirre participated.
