Baccalaureate
In the ordinary baccalaureate there are a total of 9,625 places; in the artistic baccalaureate, 1,785, and in the evening baccalaureate, 105. In total, 8 groups are added to the ordinary baccalaureate and 1 to the artistic one. In the city there are 61 educational centers that teach baccalaureate, 4 public art schools and 2 specific centers (the Instituto Escola Artístico Oriol Martorell and IESA Instituto del Teatro).
VET and professional sectors
In total there are 33 vocational training centers (FP) in the city, and progress continues in grouping all teachings into a single center, from training and insertion programs to specialized courses. Some 9,499 companies collaborate in training.
The city centers have been added to the agreement signed with Barcelona Activa for the deployment of professional certificates in all publicly owned VET centers.
Three new institutes of professional fields
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, the Institute of Sustainability and the Environment and the Institute of Audiovisual and Spectacle Techniques have been created, which are added to the educational centers in areas of interest existing ones, such as the Barcelona Technological Institute, the Barcelona Sports Institute, the Food Institute and the Barcelona Logistics Institute, among other newly created centres.
