The PNV will meet with Feijóo if he summons him but he does not see an agreement where Vox is possible

The PNV spokesman in Congress, Aitor Esteban, has explained that he will meet "out of courtesy", if they call him, with the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, although he has insisted that his party will not participate "in combinations in which between Vox".

After the king's decision to propose Núñez Feijóo as a candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Esteban said today in statements to the media that the president of the PP has not yet contacted the PNV to obtain possible support from this party , although he understands that "surely" they will be called and, "out of courtesy", they will attend the meeting that is called.

Aitor Esteban has pointed out that Núñez Feijóo and he do not know each other "personally" and added that "the meeting can be used for that... but for little else".

The PNV spokesman has insisted that his party is "clear" about its position: "In combinations in which Vox enters, we cannot be."

Esteban has recalled that the PP "at this time" does not have a parliamentary majority to make Feijóo president and has considered that, "except for a great surprise", it will be "quite difficult for him to achieve it".

"Now, with these things you don't know until the last moment," added the PNV spokesman.

Esteban has indicated that until Feijóo's inauguration, scheduled for September 26 and 27, there will be a "long pause for speculation" in which "marketing and image" will predominate.

"There is going to be a game between one and the other. We are going to see what the Socialists want," he added.

The PNV spokesman in Congress has reiterated that he has not understood the "rush" in the call for the King's consultations "knowing that there was no majority for one or the other: the logical thing - he added - is that it would have been more leisurely ".
