The Pegasus commission of the European Parliament will meet with Catalan deputies in Madrid

On November 28 of last year, the vice president of Parliament with the functions of president, AlbaVergés, requested a meeting with the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, with the commission that investigates the use of Pegasus in community countries. Vergés received this Thursday by letter the response with which the European Parliament invites a Catalan delegation to meet in Madrid on March 21 to present the points of view that are presented in the investigation commission of the Catalan Chamber.

The letter, signed by MEP Jeroen Lenaers, on behalf of the PEGA committee, states that members of the European delegation are willing to meet with the Catalan deputies in Madrid taking advantage of the March 20 and 21 trip of the committee of inquiry of the Parliament Europep on the Pegasus case.

"I would be very grateful if you could meet our delegation at the Parliament Office in Madrid," says Lenaers in the text.

The meeting, which was reported by the newspaper El Món, will take place after the Pegasus committee of the European Parliament agreed on the visit to Spain on January 24. The meeting will point to the espionage suffered by some sixty politicians and personalities from the pro-independence environment with the Israeli software Pegasus and reported by Citizen Lab.
