The orphanage of the 'casadistas' councilors ousted by Ayuso

Councilors district presidents... from the outskirts. That is the final destination of Carlos Izquierdo and David Pérez. Two of the former advisers of Isabel Díaz Ayuso who lost the confidence of the regional president in the final stretch of the last legislature -Enrique López preferred to return to the judiciary before being exiled- have been relegated to preside over Carabanchel and Hortaleza, respectively.

The dismissal of the two former councilors is a decline comparable to "going from the First Division to Second B", as recognized by members of the Madrid PP. with the exception that it has been carried out "deferred" to try to "disguise it", they add.

The account of the events placed, more than a year ago, Izquierdo and Pérez out of the pools of Puerta del Sol. Their closeness to Pablo Casado -the first was a member of the Executive of the former leader of the PP and the second key link of the National Electoral Committee - was about to mean her immediate departure from the Ayuso government team during the internal war experienced in Genoa in March 2022. But the president of the Community chose to avoid a government crisis one year after the elections and he chose to execute a fall from grace in several acts.

The first step was to reduce the public exposure of both. Sol stopped sending photographers to some of the acts of the Local Administration council -held by Izquierdo- and Transportation -directed by Pérez-. And he also reduced his appearances after the government councils held in these 16 months to a minimum.

Subsequently, there was a physical distancing in the corridors of the Madrid Assembly where Ayuso could rarely be seen conversing with his advisers. And the confirmation came in April when both councilors disappeared from the lists of the PP to the Community of Madrid to go to the City Council.

They were awarded a high starting position. On the 6th and 12th, respectively, which helped hide Ayuso's purge. But once the elections have been held, the finishing touch has arrived. And Almeida has not counted on any of them for his Executive. Neither as Area councilors nor as general directors, nor as presidents of a Pata Negra district such as Retiro -where the former Councilor for Culture, Andrea Levy, has been relocated-, Centro, Salamanca or Moncloa-Aravaca.

This deferred reserve of the former advisers of Ayuso has allowed the regional president to transfer the responsibility to Almeida. And the mayor has had to soften, as far as possible, these exiles: "Carabanchel is the most populated district of the city of Madrid and, therefore, it has more population than many provincial capitals than the mayors who have taken office ", has argued for the case of Izquierdo.

And as for Pérez, the councilor recalled that "Hortaleza is a key district for the PP. A barn of votes with an unequivocal reality, which are the PAUs. The management experience he has is very important in these scenarios", he has listed before adding, to try to curb the discomfort, that "being a City Councilor can never be considered as a step down."
