A tire fire on the outside of a building in Montcada i Reixac, in the Vallès Occidental, has raised a dense cloud of smoke and has spread to an area of forest vegetation, although no one has been injured.
As reported by the Firefighters, the fire started, for reasons that are being investigated, around 1:38 p.m. this Monday, to which the extinguishing teams have sent ten ground crews and a bomber helicopter.
As a preventive measure, Civil Protection has asked residents of the area who suffer from respiratory problems, if they notice discomfort from the smoke, to close the doors and windows of their homes.
As can be seen in these photographs in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos, the helicopter was necessary to contain the flames.
As a preventive measure, the closest school in Mas Rampinyo has also been confined until the fire has been controlled.
