The Noguera Pallaresa is saved from the drought

The Noguera Pallaresa river basin is an exception to the drought experienced by reservoirs in Catalonia, as can be seen in these photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia captured in the region of La Noguera.

The Noguera Pallaresa is born in the Pyrenees, in the region of Pallars Sobirà and flows into the Segre River just at the end of the Camarasa reservoir.

In the first image we see the largest of the three swamps that I have portrayed. This is the Camarasa reservoir, with its spectacular abysses that surround it. It is at 68% of its capacity.

In the second image, we see the Terradets reservoir at the time the Tren dels Llacs was circulating. It is at 96% of its capacity and is higher up the course of the river.

The third image shows us, among the fog, the Sant Llorenç de Montgai reservoir at 90% of its capacity.
