Beach or marshes? This is the question raised by these images in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia after the passage of the storm Aline along the coast of Baix Llobregat.
The recent heavy rains have severely damaged the Castelldefels beach. It looks like wetlands, very similar to those near the Llobregat delta.
In addition, there is street furniture such as swings and other elements that are now almost submerged. It is an anomalous and temporary panorama but, for the moment, it has its appeal.
Another problem that has occurred in Baix Llobregat has been the regression of the beaches with the rough seas and the higher waves caused by the last storm.
The loss of sand on the beaches has been especially noticeable in the nearby town of Gavà, where the impact of the waves has once again dwarfed the seafront of this town.
