The natural leaf carpets of Montseny

The path that takes us to Santa Fe de Montseny and, if we are more hikers, to the top of Turó de l'Home, takes us to walk through the beautiful natural carpets of dry autumn leaves, as seen in these photographs in Las Photos from La Vanguardia Readers.

It is time to contemplate the chromatic spectacle of the fallen leaves of the trees in these fairy-tale forests in Catalonia.

In Santa Fe de Montseny, within the municipality of Fogàs de Monclús, we find a swamp that drinks from several streams, such as Passavets or Gualba. Another attraction is the rural hermitage of Santa Fe, dating from the 13th century.

The road to Turó de l'Home is also a carpet of leaves sown by the wind, as can be seen in this other series of snapshots.

Turó de l'Home is the highest mountain of the Montseny massif, with a height of 1712 meters, above the summits of Les Agudes and El Matagalls.

Montseny is one of the busiest and most popular natural parks, largely due to its proximity to the Barcelona area. It is located in the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range, between the regions of Osona, Vallès Oriental and La Selva.

The pronounced reliefs it presents and the rich ecological variety stand out. For this reason, in 1978 UNESCO declared it a biosphere reserve.
