He abused young people younger than him to get cell phones. An 18-year-old man has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of at least five robberies with violence against minors between 9 and 15 years old, as reported this Saturday by the Mossos d'Esquadra in a statement.
The arrest occurred on September 17 in Barcelona. The detainee intimidated his victims with a knife or used the mataleón technique, which consists of strangling the victim from behind.
The concentration of robberies with the same modus operandi in the Les Corts area of the Catalan capital activated the investigation unit, which received the help of the father of one of the victims. The parent tracked the stolen phone through geolocation.
According to the Mossos d'Esquadra, the thief always acted alone and with victims younger than him. He was brought to justice on September 20.
