The monument to Pau Claris in Berga, which we can see in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, recalls the ties of this politician and ecclesiastical man with Berguedà.

Pau Claris played a prominent role in the Catalan uprising and in the search for Catalan sovereignty under the reign of Louis XIII of France.

The monument is a metal sculpture at real height that represents the figure of Pau Claris, dressed in period clothing and holding a book in his hands.
