The head of the Court of Violence against Women number 1 of Benidorm has decreed this afternoon the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail of the 54-year-old man arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of stabbing his romantic partner, 44 years old, in the town of l'Alfàs del Pi. The detainee is now being investigated in an open case for a crime of homicide, without prejudice to further classification.
In addition, the arrested person is also being investigated for alleged mistreatment of the deceased committed prior to the homicide, within the framework of another procedure that was initiated by the same judicial body last Monday following a report from the Civil Guard.
The man is 52 years old and works in the area of l'Alfàs, while the murdered woman was employed in a store in nearby Benidorm. Both he and the victim were separated from previous romantic relationships and each of them had two children from those previous stages.
