The lyrics of a possible new Shakira song are leaked: "It was a trap and I fell again"

These last two years have not been easy for Shakira. It was in June 2022 when the woman from Barranquilla surprised everyone by releasing a statement in which she revealed her breakup with Gerard Piqué, father of her two children, Sasha and Milan. The couple, who had a relationship for around a decade, were then involved in one of the most relevant media breakups of recent times, especially after it came to light that the Catalan was infidelity with Clara Chía. The performer of songs like Suerte or Waka Waka took refuge in music to heal, and that was when she released a whole arsenal of songs full of hints at her ex-partner.

Before learning about the breakup with Piqué, he launched Te Felicito with Rauw Alejandro. In it, the Colombian was already throwing out what seemed like hints, but since the breakup between the two had not yet come to light, it went unnoticed. After the announcement, Monotonía arrived with Ozuna. But the highlight would come with the Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, a song with the Argentine producer Bizarrap loaded with hints (although very direct) to his ex-partner, Gerard Piqué, and his current girlfriend, Clara Chía. The song was one of the most listened to songs of 2023, and earned him a Grammy Award. Later, the songs Acrostic and The Boss would arrive.

As we said, Shakira managed to take refuge in music to overcome that difficult stage she was in. Finally, after a long and media dispute with the former soccer player, the singer and her children moved to Miami last April 2023, in her attempt to recover her musical career, which was somewhat interrupted after her move to Barcelona a few years ago. Now, she is trying to boost her professional career again, and is already preparing the release of her new album and the announcement of her next tour.

As has been learned thanks to social networks, 'Shak' has his next release ready. This Friday, the artist turned 47, a birthday that came with the leak of a future project. "So that you torture me / I already know / It was a trap and I fell again / I was alone and I looked for you / Ah / I'm already getting attached / Too much to you / Tell me if we're playing / Or as friends / It's just that I'm fascinated / I better not continue / It's not together with me," says the leaked audio.

The title is not known, but some are already calling the song 'Encariñada', for the phrase "I'm getting attached", while others are considering 'The Call', for "I felt like it and I called you". The fragment of the supposed song appeared on social networks this Friday and it was the fans themselves who brought it to light. Apparently, Shakira's fans were saving this 'teaser' waiting for the Colombian to publish something about the new song, something that did not happen. Furthermore, a few hours after the leak, the song disappeared from social networks, so now it cannot be heard.

Some have dared to place bets on a possible collaboration, since the Colombian has already warned that her new projects would be accompanied by collaborations. 'Shak' followers have mentioned artists like Bad Bunny or Ozuna, since the same thing happened in the past with the leak of Copa Vacía, along with Manuel Turizo. On the other hand, many have wondered who the topic will be directed towards... and names such as Piqué himself or Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, with whom she was linked in the past, come up.

As reported by Cadena 100, Shakira announced that her new album would arrive in early 2024, while her record company was talking about albums. "I am very happy with the collaborations that will come with this album, which people do not expect. At the beginning of next year I hope to be releasing it and, then, there will be a world tour, the most extensive and important of my entire career," he said. Shakira about her future as an artist.
