In this series of photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia, captured from the viewpoint hermitage of Sant Miquel de Castelló, we see that, although we are in a context of severe drought in Catalonia, in Vall d'en Bas there are almost no It shows, because its fields are a marvel of colors in spring, like a puzzle of multicolored plots.

The Vall d'en Bas, in La Garrotxa, is at the head of the Fluvià river, surrounded by the mountains of Corb, Sant Miquel, Llancers and Puigsacalm (1515 meters of altitude).

The municipality of Vall d'en Bas has a landscape marked by chestnuts, oaks, oaks and beech trees, while Sant Miquel de Castelló is a hermitage built on a buttress of Serrat de Sant Miquel, within the Serra dels Llancers, in the northeast of the Collsacabra massif.

The meadows and forests are surrounded by mountains, ridges such as those of Cabrera dels Llancers, Freixaneda or Puigsacalm.

The Puigsacalam and the Santa Magdalena massif form one of the most characteristic silhouettes of the environment. From its top you can enjoy magnificent views over a large part of Catalonia.
