The JEC files charges against Tezanos for the CIS flash survey on Sánchez's letter

The Central Electoral Board (JEC) has determined the opening of a file against the president of the Sociological Research Center, José Félix Tezanos, for the flash survey that he published last week on the letter to the citizens shared by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to inform of his decision to take a “period of reflection” after the opening of proceedings against his wife for an alleged case of influence peddling reported by the far-right pseudo-union Manos Médicas.

On the other hand, it has been ruled out to open a sanctioning file against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, for that press conference he gave announcing his continuity at Moncloa.

The resolution of the JEC comes after the appeal made by the PP and which denounced the "instrumentalization" and "use" of the Sociological Research Center (CIS) to carry out a survey that, it should be remembered, indicated that the PSOE recovered the first place as the most voted force and would win a general election with 38.6% of the votes, six points more than in the previous CIS survey.

In this flash survey, the CIS also included a question about voting intention and made a national vote estimate. All this despite the fact that he was obliged to inform the arbitration body given that there are two electoral processes underway: the Catalan elections and the European elections.

Similarly, the JEC has also forced RTVE to compensate all the parties running for the Catalan elections on May 12 by offering them a space similar in content to the interview with the President of the Government held last Monday.
