The Institute for the Development of the High Pyrenees and Aran increases its budget by 9.2%

The Institute for the Development of Alt Pirineu and Aran (IDAPA), dependent on the Department of Territory, will increase its spending budget this year by 9.2%, reaching 2.5 million euros, compared to 2.2 in 2022. The Governing Council of the public entity has presented and validated the new accounts and the main projects to which they will be allocated, in addition to approving the activity report for 2022.a

The axis of mountain, digital and territorial cooperation policies has a budget of 1.6 million. Meanwhile, 837,000 euros are earmarked for economic and sectoral revitalization. IDAPA also collaborates in promoting the Pyrenees Strategy and participates in the work to prepare and approve a new Mountain Law.

The budgets for the axis of mountain, digital and territorial cooperation policies include actions for the implementation of 5G areas, cooperation in the digitization of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), digitization of mountain routes and the promotion of the Taula d'habitatge de l'Alt Pirineu and Aran. In addition to the integration of fees and support at the Escola de Pastors y Pastores. It also incorporates the subsidy line for the promotion of cultural heritage and local development, endowed with 400,000 euros and which has received a hundred applications.

As regards the field of economic and sectoral revitalization, it intends to support the business and tourism sector, with an endowment of 322,000 euros, and help maintain the road network, with 131,500 euros. They also provide for actions to promote the agri-food, cultural and heritage sector and education and attention to people.
