The image of climate change in Montseny

In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see these two comparative images that show to what extent the climate has changed in Montseny.

Specifically, we can observe a photograph from 6 years ago in the Turó de l'Home, with the walls of the house envuentas en encarcha. And the same image today, in a very hot and dry spring.

Turó de l'Home is the highest mountain of the Montseny massif, with a height of 1712 meters, above the summits of Les Agudes and El Matagalls.

El Montseny is one of the busiest and most popular natural parks, largely due to its proximity to the Barcelona area. It is located in the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range, between the regions of Osona, Vallès Oriental and La Selva.

The pronounced reliefs that it presents and the rich ecological variety stand out. For this reason, in 1978 Unesco declared it a biosphere reserve.
