In the children's park of the preserved textile colony of L'Ametlla de Merola we can contemplate this fantastic and creative mural by the artist Valentí Gubianas, which is a real visual joy, as seen in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.
L'Ametlla de Merola is a population center located on the banks of the Llobregat, in the municipality of Puig-reig, which originated as a textile industrial colony in the last third of the 19th century.
Its architectural complex is currently included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia and its Festival is included in the Catalog of the Festive Heritage of Catalonia.
But, in the town we can find pleasant artistic surprises like this large mural by the artist Valentí Gubianas, who explains: "The interest in discovering new paths has led me to create large-format murals."
"I have painted for schools, libraries, facades and live shows", he details, before stating that "transforming a wall allows me to create a story, give birth to a small universe and feel free as if I wanted to".
"My true school has been the escort movement", comments the illustrator, who discovered at the Escola Massana "the job of illustrating stories", which he does "above all with his heart and head".
