The Government calls the competition to award a festival in the gardens of the Palau de Pedralbes

The General Directorate of Heritage of the Generalitat de Catalunya opens a competition so that a music festival can be held at the Palau de Pedralbes during the summers of 2023, 2024 and 2025. Specifically between June 19 and August 2 of each one of the annuities.

This has been stated this Friday in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC), where it has specified that it is an open procedure and urgent processing, under a competition regime, and with a deadline to submit offers until next 11 February.

It stipulates that the occupation permit fee, which is one of the award criteria, is established at a minimum of 458,055 euros, taxes not included, for the total duration of the permit. It has also given details about the spaces that are the object of the competition, which occupy 6,501 square meters — 5,942.9 of the outdoor spaces and 558.1 of built-up spaces.

In recent years, Concert Studio had organized the Jardins Pedralbes Festival and its director, Martín Pérez, warned at the beginning of January that the event was in danger due to the "lateness" of the Generalitat, which the Department of Economy denied and assured that it was going to celebrate, with the announcement of a public tender when there is another company interested in doing so.
