The Government accuses the PP of acting as an anti-system party

The Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has accused the PP of acting as an anti-system party since Pedro Sánchez agreed to the Moncloa as a reaction to the words of the PP's deputy regional secretary, Pedro Rollán, who yesterday branded the energy saving plan of the Government of energetic "reasoning primer".

The Sánchez Executive has been questioning the leadership of Alberto Núñez Feijóo in the PP for a few days on account of the opposition to the decree led by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, after the party president himself requested a plan of saving. And Montero has insisted on the idea this Thursday from Jerez de la Frontera. Thus, the minister has accused Feijóo of "not measuring up as a national leader" while at the same time summoning him, as other ministers have done these days, to "impose his criteria" on the confrontation proposal that Madrid is practicing.

"Nobody understands that even without reading the decree the main opposition party has opposed reasonable measures for all citizens," explained Montero, who lamented "the denialism and obstructionism" of which, in his opinion, the PP makes a show. "Since Pedro Sánchez arrived at Moncloa, the PP has never been up to the task, neither in the pandemic nor in the war in Ukraine, it has not put its shoulder to the wheel, it says no as an answer and it behaves like an anti-system party and uses expressions as unfortunate like those of yesterday", Montero said in reference to Rollán's words that, in his opinion, "depict the PP".

The minister welcomed the attitude of the merchants at the entry into force of the decree that "with common sense" have implemented the saving measures that, as she recalled, should serve to "prevent unwanted consequences in the future" in reference to severe restrictions on electricity consumption in Europe due to a possible cut in the supply of Russian gas and so that "Putin does not get away with it." And she has contrasted this attitude of the citizens with that of the PP that "are looking for an added problem, to any response from the Government it brings out a new problem, and so on ad infinitum".
