I share in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos this photograph taken in Caldes de Montbui, in the Vallès Oriental region, last Friday during sunset.

The machine parameters used to take this snapshot of the sun were 1/125s, f/16 ISO50. A Nikon D750 was used with a Sigma Contemporary 150-600mm lens, shooting with a focal length of 600mm.

The shooting distance in a straight line was 7 km. A Sirui carbon fiber tripod and a 50mm Arcteis head were used for shooting; Also, a stabilizer for the optics in order to avoid shaking. A HAIDA ND1000 filter was used.

The shot was taken in the afternoon, during sunset. It was planned with Photopills and the idea is based on capturing the sunset sequence behind the Puig de la Creu monastery.

Santa Maria del Puig de la Creu is a Romanesque church located between the municipalities of Castellar del Vallès and Sentmenat (Vallès Occidental), in the highest part of Puig de la Creu, at 664 meters of altitude. It is included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
