In these images in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos I have captured the colors of the dawn before the sun rises in the Sau reservoir.
They are cold colors like the low temperatures we have these days. The landscape is shown with this beauty in the Ter river valley area.
The reservoir appears surrounded by abysses in the natural area of Les Guilleries, in the municipality of Vilanova de Sau, Osona region. But, what stands out this time is that there was only one fog bank, which we can see better in this accelerated video.
Of course, the entire landscape is conditioned by drought, with an alarming water level, since, currently, the reservoir is at 11% of its capacity.
The Sau reservoir is part of a system of three swamps (along with those of Susqueda and Pasteral) that unites the counties of Osona, in the province of Barcelona, and Selva, in the province of Girona. All of them are affected by the lack of water flow.
