The end of autumn on the route of the Corb hermitages

In La Vanguardia Readers' Photos we can admire how the frost makes its way with the end of autumn on the route of the Romanesque hermitages of Corb, between Sant Miquel and Sant Martí.

This route leaves Les Preses, goes to the Racó volcano, and advances along the northern slope of the Corb mountain range until it finds the two churches, located about 900 meters from each other.

Shortly after, the path climbs to near Roca Lladre and turns west, following the ridge, to the Xenacs recreational area, from where it descends to Les Preses along the Barrincoles path. We will be able to enjoy one of the best viewpoints in La Garrotxa.

Sant Martí del Corb, a small church with a single nave and a semicircular apse, is a quiet place, with a spectacular calm, especially in autumn, with the dry leaves fallen from the trees giving a magical color and texture to the environment.

For its part, Sant Miquel del Corb is a temple with a single nave covered with a barrel vault. During the 18th century the roof was raised. The voussoired access door is located on the west façade, protected by a porch. The bell tower is a tower.
