When we talk about "developmental alarms", we understand them as a set of signs and manifestations that tell us that something is not evolving appropriately in the development of our child according to age and that it is important to pay attention to it.

The definition of health speaks of the absence of disease, but also of physical, mental and social well-being. This is the reason for identifying health, environmental, family or social factors.

We understand Social Pediatrics as "that which studies the global health of the child in interaction with his social environment, health risks (infections, disabilities, accidents, abuse, pollution, war) and the relationship with the institutions where he lives."

Sleep is of short duration. Sleep with parents. Irregular habits. Disorders that have a significant impact on the child's life or pose danger.

Bad habits or excessive food selectivity. Failure to meet development milestones.

3 years: Little interest in other children. Many difficulties in separating from the mother.

4 years: Little response to people outside the family circle. No interest in cooperative play. Cries or resists when separated from his parents.

5 years: Poor response to people in general. Seems sad or unhappy most of the time.

"It is the duty of parents to prepare their children for the way, and never to prepare the way" (J. H. Newman).

Preventive medicine is very convenient. Don't be alarmed if you see any of these symptoms. Furthermore, an early diagnosis often does not imply a definitive prognosis with the pediatrician and teachers. You may need some medical help or customized teaching. Perhaps family and school behavior can be harmonized.
