The Cruz sisters give free rein to their creativity in their new collection for Geox

The harmony between Penélope and Mónica Cruz is palpable in their new role as designers. Passionate but with their feet on the ground, the sisters from Alcobendas wanted to carry out their own tribute to all women through a capsule collection for Geox in which technical materials prevail and where they demonstrate that comfort does not have to be be at odds with style.

“Fashion was always like a dream for my sister and me. We are passionate and love working together. That's why we really wanted to collaborate again with this line,” explains the Oscar-winning Spanish actress.

In their roles as granddaughters, mothers and sisters, far from exclusive Hollywood, this talented duo embarks on the creation of their ideal sneaker. One that dresses the common woman for all occasions of the day, capable of filling her outfits with optimism without giving up versatility.

Inspired by the Mediterranean, the Cruz sisters' capsule collection consists of jackets and shoes for all year round. It highlights the use of technical and comfortable fabrics, with purely aesthetic details and with the Geox philosophy present in every detail of the manufacturing: “Everything must be innovative in terms of materials and technology, but always with a touch of style”, details the same firm in a press release.

Thus, the padded jackets are bathed in such striking tones as red for the new season, and the animal print, a clear spring trend, is present in several of the limited edition sneakers and garments.

After Penélope Cruz presented the fall-winter line in Milan for fashion week, Mónica acted as host at the opening of the Geox store in Madrid to present the spring collection.

The dancer and actress who rose to fame with the legendary series One Step Forward wore a design from the line presented for the occasion: a pink sandal finished in a point and with a sensible heel that showed that comfort and elegance can coexist in the female shoemaker. A shoe that celebrates women and all the facets of them.
