The new investigative commission on the political police, this time focused on Operation Catalonia, will start rolling after the majority of parliamentary allies have found the formula to avoid the blockade in which it was established by the crossing of vetoes between the parties by the lists of attendees. The partners have voted on the PNV list, which only includes two names - the former commissioner Jose Manuel Villarejo and the former director of the Private Bank of Andorra Higini Cierco, so that the commission can start now and, later, include more appearing parties.

After a negotiation in extremis, the investiture partners have managed to make the second meeting of the commission fail again, as it did before the break for Easter. PSOE had presented a list, with five names more than the previous one registered, with which it had managed to tie the votes of the ERC, PNV, EH Bildu and the PdCat, but with Unidas Podemos installed in the "no" to that list because it did not include key names for the confederate group such as Pablo Iglesias or the journalist Antonio García Ferreras. An abstention from United We Can was enough for the socialist list to be approved, but minutes before the start of the meeting they announced that they would vote against.

Except for the opposition, all the allies had shown their interest that the start of the work not be delayed any longer, at a time when the timer for the end of the legislature is already running. For this reason, the minority parties have measured on this occasion between the government partners, PSOE and Unidas Podemos, to find a solution to the blockade.
