The Civil Guard releases a man who had been kidnapped in Calp for two days

The Civil Guard has released a 24-year-old man who has been kidnapped for two days in the Alicante town of Calp. According to the armed institute, the captors contacted the partner of the detained person via video call, and demanded a ransom of one hundred thousand euros under the threat of killing the victim.

The operation began when the agents received information about the possible commission of kidnapping, in which they requested the victim's partner for the aforementioned money before 48 hours had passed.

The agents began the investigation by tracking the video call made by the captors. With all the information collected, they verified that the place where the victim was being held was an address in Calpe.

Given the seriousness of the threats, since the time imposed by the kidnappers was reaching its limit, the agents accessed the home where the victim was, where she was located in good condition.

During the search of the home, the investigators managed to arrest three of the perpetrators, along with several knives with which they threatened the victim. Two other perpetrators were arrested a few minutes later near the house, hidden in a van.

The detainees, who are charged with the crime of kidnapping, were placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court No. 2 of Denia, who ordered their release with the imposition of precautionary measures.
