The Civil Guard, through the so-called "Dumis" operation, has freed a 28-year-old woman who was forced to have sexual relations with strangers and consume narcotic substances to maintain those relations. Furthermore, the pimp who ordered his imprisonment has been arrested and placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court No. 3 of Villajoyosa.
At the end of September, the Civil Guard of Villajoyosa, through a statement from the National Police of Castellón de la Plana, learned of the possible existence of a case of human trafficking in a home in the town. Immediately, the agents of the Women-Minor Team (EMUME) of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Alicante, together with the Villajoyosa Judicial Police Team, began operation “Dumis” to locate the victim and arrest to the author.
Finally, on September 29, after arduous investigation work, the agents managed to locate and release the victim, who was being held in a home in Villajoyosa, where he lived with the author, a 54-year-old man, who also He was arrested at that time.
The investigators, during the search carried out in the home, located evidence of the commission of the crime of human trafficking for sexual exploitation. The agents learned that the victim was physically attacked when she did not want to have relationships, as well as forced to consume drugs to maintain said relationships with strangers. They also learned that she arrived in Spain together with the author in 2017.
On October 1, the detainee, who is charged with the crimes of human trafficking, sexual assault and injuries, was placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court No. 3 of Villajoyosa, who ordered his entry into prison.
The agents had the support of the NGO Fiet Gratia, who assisted the victim at all times during the proceedings and investigation.
