In this it happens a bit like with teachers: there are many who point them out for their supposed privileged conditions, fixed hours, long vacations... but we would like to see them dealing with, let's say, a pack of preschoolers, schoolchildren and teenagers. Well, the same thing happens with ministries. All government premieres come with their share of “and what is this ministry for?” And this legislature, the icing on the cake goes to the Childhood and Youth, especially the second, divine treasure and never better said.
Or so a good number of Twitter users seem to believe, while others, like @Pitores1, lament that “ministry for youth, yes; but ministry for the elderly, no. We older people are also vulnerable people.” The same tweeter responds: “Is it because we are less catechizable?”
We do not go into the functions and/or objectives of the new ministry, we are not here for the future and we will see, but it is true that there is a demand for more attention for the elderly, like @susanapastbe: “A youth ministry is being created in one of the oldest countries in Europe.
