The Metallurgical Employers' Union (UPM) has sent a letter to the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, offering the Blaugrana club whatever is appropriate for the remodeling of the Camp Nou.
In the letter, the president of UPM, Jaume Roura, tells Joan Laporta: "Aware of the investment in reforms that will be carried out for the remodeling of the Camp Nou, I would like to provide you with information and, at the same time, offer you the services of the companies that make up the Unión Patronal Metalúrgica de Catalunya (UPM), which I have the honor of chairing". leadership in this field to the entire Spanish State, ahead of metallurgy in the Basque Country.
Roura also adds: "This work will consume many tons of iron and could give Catalan companies specialized in metallurgy, both iron and its facilities, the option to get involved in the project. As president of this entity, I would be very grateful to you and, to At the same time, it is necessary to take into account at an operational and logistical level and that compatibility would always be considered and, obviously, the acceptance by the company executing the work, to whom we also extend our hand". They consider the project as "one of the most important works to be carried out in Catalonia in recent years". FC Barcelona, led by its president Joan Laporta, has sent its response thanking the offer and studying the feasibility of this joint effort.
