You have little time for breakfast and you decide to make yourself some toast. You toast the bread, grab the jam from the fridge, and when you think everything is ready to sit down to eat, the butter, still cold, is harder than a rock. Spreading it becomes an impossible mission, and you resign yourself to eating your toast with uneven pieces of butter because it hasn't had time to soften. Has it happened to you?

To prevent this from happening, the usual thing is to take the butter out of the refrigerator a few minutes before eating it so that it can warm up, but we don't always have the time to wait for it to be ready. Luckily, there is a way to solve this problem. You only need one tool that is usually in every kitchen: the grater.

The procedure is very simple. Simply grab the block of butter as if it were cheese, and grate it until you get the amount you need.
