The advanced spring of the drought in Bages

In the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we have seen how, with this advanced spring, the dry fields suffer in Bages, as can be seen in the surroundings of the Parc de l'Agulla in Manresa, where, however, it struggles to be noticed green, although in some meadows it seems in vain due to the lack of rain

The Montserrat mountain stands out and is visible from many points in Catalonia. From Manresa too, from the beautiful setting of the Parc de l'Agulla, which has an artificial lake that came into operation in 1974.

Its main function is to supply water to the city of Manresa and other surrounding towns. It has a capacity of 200 million liters, which represents a water reserve for 5 days.

The Parc de l'Agulla de Manresa is not only the largest park in the Bages region, but also a large nature reserve that houses more than 600 trees of 20 different species.

Surrounding the lake, there are large areas with grass, a picnic area and spaces for children's play and sports. You can also observe the fauna, especially the birds. If we go further we can enter a rural landscape where the fields fight to gain green among the almond trees already in bloom.
