Supercarblondie, the tester of great spectacular cars

Her name is Alex Hirschi, she is Australian and she is 38 years old. This name is probably not recognized by many. But if we add that she is known as Supercarblondie, the biggest influencer in the motoring world, with more than 90 million followers on social media, it is possible that her name will become instantly familiar to fans of the most spectacular cars in the world.

Supercarblondie shows in its videos the most luxurious cars that no one has ever imagined before. Concept cars that are the fruit of the imagination and creativity of designers and engineers from the automotive industry or models from such exclusive brands as Rolls-Royce, Mansory or Pagani. In general, these are copies of limited production and within the reach of very few pockets.

The Australian, however, can also be seen testing more 'modest' cars such as Mercedes, BMW or Lexus. Although it is always about luxury brands, Hirschi addresses its followers with direct and clear language, which undoubtedly contributes to its enormous popularity among luxury car lovers. It is also another way to break down exclusivity barriers in the motor world.

Precisely today, as International Women's Day is celebrated, it is fair to recognize Alex Hirschi's success in a sector traditionally dominated by men. Since almost by chance she began to become a tester of exclusive cars in 2017, Supercarblondie's followers on social media have been increasing exponentially.

From the 300 followers he had before becoming an influencer he went to 50,000 after 8 months. Currently, Supercarblondie is fully involved in the race to reach 100 million followers, a figure that justifies it being considered the most highly paid communicator in the world of motorsport.

It all started in 2017 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), where Hirschi had settled in 2008 after leaving his life in Australia behind in search of new opportunities. Graduated in Journalism and Business from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbanne (Australia), her first full-time job was on a Singapore television station as a presenter and producer. But it was in the Middle East that Hirschi became Supercarblondie.

As happens in many cases, chance played an important role in its transformation. At that time, Alex was presenting a program about cars on a radio station in Dubai and he had to attend the presentation of a Bentley model. As a result, the British brand offered him to test one of his cars for a few days and Hirschi's passion for luxury cars was born.

A few days after her baptism with Bentley, the Australian found herself ordering cars from other luxury brands. From the first moment and to his surprise, Alex found that the majority of manufacturers agreed to his requests. It was April 2017 and Alex Hirschi decided to leave his full-time job at the station to dedicate himself exclusively to recording videos about cars that he would then upload to social networks.

A decision that in the long run brings Supercarblondie an income that she could never have imagined when she worked as a corporate services coordinator for Deutsche Bank or did her first steps in radio. According to a 2020 All Car Leasing report, Supercarblondie is the car influencer who earns the most money per post. For each video he uploads to YouTube he receives 3,600 euros and for each Instagram post, 18,000 euros, that is, more than 21,000 euros for each combined publication on both channels.

The success of Supercarblondie in letting her followers know about her experiences as a luxury car tester has not gone unnoticed by some of the most renowned international magazines and publications. Media as influential as Maxim, GQ, Forbes and Esquire are some that, according to their website, have been interested in Supercarblondie and its nose for business. In 2021, the net worth of the Supercarblondie brand was 17 million dollars (about 15.6 million euros), which places it in a prominent position in the world of influencers.
