Sumar demands loyalty to the PSOE after the “attack” by the Israeli embassy on Bustinduy

The wound that the explicit disavowal that the third vice president, Teresa Ribera (PSOE), made of the head of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy (Sumar), has opened in the coalition government is far from being closed. At least in the short term with the imminent Catalan elections and the very close European elections.

Bustinduy reported yesterday that he had sent a letter to Spanish companies operating in Israel urging them to take measures to avoid contributing to the “genocide” in Gaza. Something that was reproached by Ribera, reminding him that “the relationship with companies and their impact on trade” corresponds to the Ministry of Economy.

In this sense, a minority partner of the coalition has demanded that the socialist part of the Government “close ranks” with the Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy, after the “terrible attack full of lies” that it has received from the embassy of Israel in Spain.

Sumar's spokesperson, Íñigo Errejón, has stated that the Minister of Social Rights simply said a “truth like a temple” while urging his government partner to “unequivocally” support Bustinduy's “brave” action in being in tune with the sensitivity of Spanish society.

Also in relation to this issue, Sumar's spokesperson praised the solidarity camps with the population of Gaza as "a deep source of pride", and called on the PP's Borja Sémper to "give just one proof" that they are "in against Israel and in favor of Hamas,” as the latter said yesterday that he had “the feeling” that this is the nature of the rallies.

“If you don't give it, then you have lied and you have to ask for forgiveness from the entire university community,” he challenged, suspecting that “you are lying because you have no way of standing up to a genocide unless you do it.” with lies” to “justify the unjustifiable.”

Errejón also corrected the description made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, of Israel as a “friendly State”, to convert the expression into “State friendly to murdering Palestinians” and denouncing that “there is no “no justification for having murdered 34,000 people.”
