Mossos d'Esquadra of the Investigation Unit (UI) of the Premià de Mar police station (Maresme) have arrested six minors who are part of a gang that allegedly participated in several robberies with violence in Vilassar de Mar and that has accumulated numerous background. On October 31, the Local Police already arrested two of them at the scene of the events.
The robberies took place on the night of the Castanyada festival, on October 31, in the area of the Vilassar de Mar promenade, where there was a large concentration of young people. That same night, several violent robberies were reported, in addition to fights and attacks carried out by the members of this youth gang, whose description the witnesses agreed.
All of the detainees belong to the same group led by a minor under 15 years of age, of Spanish nationality, residing in a neighboring town of Vilassar. They form a very violent group that repeats crimes and altercations and have even mocked the police when they are identified, aware that they do not exceed the criminal age. Their adventures, in Vilassar de Mar and in neighboring municipalities, cause a great feeling of insecurity and complaints from neighbors, businesses and even the municipal government.
On the same day as the Castanyada, the Vilassar Local Police arrested two of these habitual criminals for the same crimes and referred the proceedings to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, which left the detainees under the guardianship of their families. The next day, the Mossos de Premià police station received several complaints from several young people who had been victims of attacks and robberies by the group whose description by witnesses of the episodes was coincident.
The Premià Investigation Unit took charge of the investigations and thanks to the description of the victims, the statements of the witnesses and all the efforts carried out by the investigators, between November 13 and 23, the six boys involved were arrested. presumably with these facts.
