The National Police have arrested six individuals, five of them minors, for being the alleged perpetrators of several robberies with violence and intimidation in central areas of the capital. After the arrests, "numerous effects" of the victims have been recovered, including several mobile phones and various personal documentation.
The victims of this group were young people who were in their way and attacked them using extendable defenses and knives, and threatened to attack them if they did not hand over their belongings. The events occurred during the early hours of October 16 of this year, when a group of ten young people, on their way from the Plaza de España to the vicinity of the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium, in the Nervión neighborhood, allegedly committed several robbery crimes. with violence and intimidation, the Police reported in a statement.
The National Police, alerted to these events, carried out a "rapid deployment" in the indicated area in order to locate the alleged perpetrators, which occurred in a "short period of time" in the vicinity of the Seville stadium where it was detected. the presence of a group of young people who responded to the characteristics provided.
The alleged perpetrators, when questioned by the Police, initially tried to flee as well as get rid of the effects they had stolen, although six of them were arrested after a foot chase through the surrounding streets. to the stadium, one of them offering "great resistance" to arrest.
With the arrests of the six individuals, of which five of them are minors, numerous effects that had been stolen from the victims were recovered. Following the investigation of the current report, the detainees have been placed at the disposal of the judiciary and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, following the open investigation and not ruling out new arrests.
