The coach José Luis Mendilibar will continue on the Sevilla bench after having won the Europa League in the final against Roma. The Sevilla club has announced the renewal of the coach until June 30, 2024.
The entity's vice president, José María del Nido Carrasco, made this announcement on the Cope Sevilla network and the club has subsequently informed of the continuity of the Biscayan coach, who arrived on March 21 with the mission of keeping the team in LaLiga Santander replacing the Argentine Jorge Sampaoli.
Mendilibar has classified Sevilla in twelfth position with 49 points and, after overcoming two Europa League qualifiers against Manchester United and Juventus, has led the Sevilla club to its seventh title in the second continental competition.
In his two-and-a-half-month career at Sevilla, the balance of the Zaldívar coach is eight wins, six draws and three losses.
