Script twist: Daniel Sancho does not testify today in the trial due to a technical problem

New session in the trial of Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, the son of actor Rodolfo Sancho. This Thursday the defense's turn began, with the testimony of several police officers and the question, once again, of whether Sancho will testify, as planned.

Today's session was supposed to start around 9 a.m., but it already started almost an hour late because the court was continuing with the electrical failure that left the Koh Samui Court without electricity and air yesterday. conditioning and precisely forced Sancho's statement to be postponed until this Thursday.

The court continues this Thursday without air conditioning in the room like the day before, which like yesterday could alter the course of the day. In today's session, the father of the accused, the Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho, was also scheduled to testify, although it is unknown if he will finally be able to testify.

Daniel Sancho is expected to testify in Spanish with the help of an interpreter and defend his innocence, insisting that Arrieta's death occurred during a fight in self-defense.

As we have been able to confirm, the session has been suspended due to electrical failures and lack of air conditioning, so we will have to wait a few more days to hear the first-person testimony of Silvia Bronchalo's son.

The news of the suspension of the session has left journalists and many of the followers of the case speechless, who observe in astonishment the large number of obstacles that are emerging in said legal procedure.

Sancho, 29, is transferred daily to the Samui Court in a police van from the prison where he has been in provisional detention since last August 7. The Spanish chef was arrested and accused of the premeditated murder of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta.

The defense strategy is focused on trying to dissuade the judge from the charge of premeditated murder, the aggravating circumstance that can lead to a death sentence in Thailand. For his part, Juan Gonzalo Ospina, lawyer in Spain for Edwin Arrieta's family, is convinced that the Spanish chef's testimony will show "contradictions like those that already existed in other statements."
