The Day of September 11 in Catalonia will once again be marked by the independence demonstration, promoted by the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) and which coincides with the negotiations in the Congress of Deputies for a possible investiture of the acting president of the Government and candidate of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez.
The ANC calls on the public to "take the reins and return to confrontation and onslaught". "We want to make it clear in Europe that nothing has ended here: we want the independence that we already voted for on October 1st," explains the entity chaired by Dolors Feliu.
The organization asks the parties to abandon dialogue with the executive and opt for more decisive paths: "We demand more political responsibility in the EU when dealing with the Catalan conflict, and we also denounce the immobility of the pro-independence parties, with a dialogue table that "It has been of no use. It is time to turn empty words into action and confrontation."
The demonstration, called under the motto 'Via Fora!', will start at the same time from four points: the City of Justice, the Escola Proa, the Sants Station and the Treasury building, "enclaves of denunciation and vindication of the rights and freedoms lost by Spanish colonialism," according to the organizers. The four blocks will converge in the Plaza de Espanya.
Unlike 2022, the president of the Generalitat and national coordinator of ERC, Pere Aragonès, will attend the September 11 Diada demonstration, considering that this year the scenario "is different" and is focused on "directing the pressure towards the State Government".
The independence demonstration for the Day of September 11 in Catalonia, promoted by the ANC and in which Òmnium Cultural and the Consell de la República will also participate, will start at 5:15 p.m. It will start from four points: the City of Justice, the Escola Proa, the Sants Station and the Treasury building. The four blocks will converge in the Plaza de Espanya.
