Sants metro station reopened due to smoke in the facilities

The Sants metro station on L5 in Barcelona has reopened after TMB was forced to close the stop due to the presence of smoke in the facilities. Passengers have had to be evacuated from the station due to this incident, the origin of which is being investigated, as reported by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB).

The trains running on the line have suspended the regular stop at that station for several minutes. Therefore, traffic has been carried out directly from Plaça de Sants to Entença, and from Entença to Plaça de Sants, omitting the Sants Estació stop.

Although TMB workers have detected smoke in the station facilities, no source of fire has been detected. But, for safety reasons, it has been decided to evacuate the passengers.
