Real Madrid announces the signing of Rüdiger until 2026

Real Madrid announced this Thursday the signing of Antonio Rüdiger for the next four seasons, the white team's first signing for the following season. Rüdiger will be presented as a new Madrid player on June 20 at 12 noon at the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas. Currently, the defender is concentrated with Germany for the dispute of several Nations League matches, the first of them against Italy next Saturday in Bologna.

Before being official, his signing for Madrid was an open secret, announced in different media in the Spanish capital weeks ago. Rüdiger was one of the names with the biggest poster among the players who end their contract this season. For his part, his until now partner in defense, Andreas Christensen, will arrive at Barça free.

"Our team is reinforced with one of the best defenders in the world," announced the Chamartín entity about the German, whom they describe as a "physically very powerful" player and of whom they highlight his "experience in the English, German and Italian leagues ", in addition to being "a fixture in the calls for Germany".

During his time at Chelsea he also won the Champions League last year, the Europa League in 2019 and the FA Cup in 2018.

Before landing in the Premier League, he played two seasons, between 2015 and 2017, at Roma, where he was also the undisputed starter. His first experience in the elite was with Stuttgart, a team in which he debuted at the age of 18 and in which he spent four seasons. With the German national team he was champion of the Confederations Cup in 2017.
