Last year, the Quadis dealership group achieved a turnover of 1,260 million euros, a figure that represents an increase of close to 15% compared to the previous year, according to data compiled by the international consulting firm ICDP, specialized in automotive. The figures consolidate Quadis as the first automobile distribution network in Spain, the only one that has entered the ICDP ranking with the 50 largest European groups.

Specifically, the group controlled by the Soler family occupies 46th place in the ranking, headed by the Swiss company Emil Frey, with 597,000 vehicles sold and a turnover of 14.8 billion.

With headquarters in Barcelona and more than 80 years of history, Quadis operates in Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands, Aragon and the Basque Country. In 2022 it sold a total of 32,180 vehicles.

Currently, the network chaired by Juan Manuel Soler manages more than 30 brands and among its latest additions stands out the Chinese company BYD (Build Your Dreams), which began its penetration into the Spanish market in Barcelona.

BYD is the world leader in the manufacture and sale of electric vehicles and is making a rapid introduction into the Spanish market.

Other recent additions to the Quadis group are Opel, Citroën, MG and Ineos.

“For the entire Quadis team it is a pride to be present for another year among the top fifty vehicle dealership companies in the world,” Pol Soler, CEO of the company, highlighted in a note. “This encourages us to continue working to offer the best service to our customers, while representing the commitment that the group has had with automobile manufacturers for more than eight decades,” he added.

In addition to consolidating itself as a leader in automobile distribution, Quadis has invested in other private mobility businesses in recent years, which also include bicycles, electric motorcycles, vans, trucks and even buses.

In this development of new mobility, the acquisition in 2021 of Escapa, one of the largest distributors of bicycles and cycling equipment in Spain, stands out in particular.

Escapa is a company that has been strengthened with recent openings in Madrid, Tarragona and Castellón. To accelerate its growth, the company Monpedal was acquired in Castellón, now integrated into Escapa.
