The Mossos d'Esquadra dismantle a marijuana farm in a wooded area in the Prades mountains, between the Priorat and Baix Camp regions. As reported by the police in a statement, the agents arrested three men last Thursday, June 8, two 25-year-olds and one 28-year-old, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of drug trafficking. After going to court, the judge ordered his entry into prison.
In the operation, 10,112 one-meter-tall plants were located spread over eleven terraces, which occupied more than one kilometer of a wooded area that was difficult to access.
In the area, the agents found an irrigation system made up of plastic pipes from various water ponds located in an upper ravine. In addition, they located four more terraces prepared for new plantations, several bottles of gasoline, and an electric generator to pump water in all the plots where marijuana was grown.
The three detainees were located in a camp made up of several tents that was set up a few meters away. According to the mossos, they were in charge of surveillance and handling. Food, drinks, backpacks, clothing and various phytosanitary products for the protection and growth of crops were found at that site.
