The municipal plenary session, in an ordinary session and with the vote against Compromís and PSPV, has accepted an amendment presented by the Vox Group, by which it has withdrawn from the initial proposal, raised by the Culture information commission at the proposal of the far-right, mentions of the so-called Normes del Puig and the entities Royal Academy of Valencian Culture (RACV) and Lo Rat Penat.
Some references that the City Council's legal report, which was made known this morning, called into question when it was understood that it was based on a different regulation than that of the Valencian Academy of Language (AVL). The letter from the legal department pointed out that "the municipal agreement exceeds the legal powers granted to the municipality" and recalled that "the linguistic regulations in the Valencian Community are set by the Valencian Language Academy."
