The coordinator of the joint candidacy of Spain, Portugal and Morocco for the 2030 World Cup, António Laranjo, indicated this Tuesday that the Portuguese country will not host the final of the tournament, so it will be in Spain or Morocco.

"Portugal does not have that stadium (with capacity for at least 80,000 seats), it is not going to make investments to expand the capacity of the stadiums, which means that Portugal is not going to have the World Cup final," Laranjo said in the ceremony to present the vision, logo and ambassadors of the candidacy, held at the City of Football in Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon.

Laranjo was asked about the possibility of the Santiago Bernabéu hosting the final, to which he responded that it is a "magnificent" field with capacity and one of the places "that will certainly be indicated as possible" to host the last World Cup match or others. meetings.

"It is one of the stadiums that will certainly be part of our candidacy as a possible stadium to host a final, because it will certainly have the capacity for it," Laranjo remarked.

The joint candidacy of Spain, Portugal and Morocco for the 2030 World Cup also presented its official logo with symbols representing the sun, the sea and football and a "Yalla, let's go", in Arabic and Spanish.

Laranjo was in charge of presenting the logo of the tournament, a competition that is intended to have "an impact on future generations", during a ceremony in the Football City of Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon.

"We have different customs, we have different traditions and, even so, it is clear that working together we have much more in common than the differences we may find," said Laranjo.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Andrés Iniesta and Nouredinne Naybet are some of the ambassadors of the joint candidacy of Spain, Portugal and Morocco for the 2030 World Cup.

The ambassadors were presented at a ceremony in the Football City of Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon, where the candidacy also presented its logo and vision.
