The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 28-year-old man in Lleida on Monday for having stolen material from a rural warehouse in Bellvís and telephone cable in Segrià and Pla d'Urgell.
On February 16, a patrol located some men who were burning an electrical cable in an abandoned building in Vilanova de la Barca.
The agents identified them and seized the cable and other objects such as a quad, three mini motorcycles, two brushcutters and work tools.
After taking steps, the police verified that some of the objects had been stolen in June in Bellvís. In relation to the telephone cable, it was linked to robberies in recent months. The investigation is still open to find out the origin of the rest of the material.
The detainee, accused of a robbery with force and theft of a telephone cable, has a record and will go to court this Tuesday.
