Olvido Hormigos must pay 60,000 euros to Alessandro Lequio and his wife, María Palacios

There was a time when Olvido Hormigos was one of the regular faces in the world of gossip press and on television sets. The former councilor of Los Yébenes (Toledo), famous for the dissemination of an intimate video sent to her lover while she was married, is now away from the media spotlight, but this Sunday she has once again made some headlines. The former politician has been in the news after it came to light that she must pay 60,000 euros to Alessandro Lequio and his wife, María Palacios. This is what Okdiario's Look portal has advanced.

Hormigos faces a sentence from the Supreme Court and must pay that amount of money to the couple. The sentence, handed down last Friday, puts an end to a long legal battle that has taken place through various judicial instances. It all started with some statements made by Olvido in various media outlets, in which he claimed to have had an affair with the Italian, former partner of Ana Obregón and common father with her of the late Aless Lequio.

It was then that the accusation of illegitimate interference with the right to honor by Alessandro and María against Olvido came to light, something that triggered a legal process that has culminated in the final decision of the Supreme Court. The former councilor of Los Yébenes has lost in all judicial instances: from the court of first instance to the Provincial Court and finally the Supreme Court.

As revealed by the ruling issued on Friday, this marks the end of this case. The victory of the Lequio-Palacios couple against Olvido is confirmed, and represents a definitive closure to the dispute between the former politician and Lequo. "The issue is buried," said Alessandro. The Supreme Court's decision reinforces the protection of the right to honor and establishes a precedent in cases of public statements that affect the reputation of public persons. This is a sentence that television characters are accustomed to.

"I expected it. I had already lost on other occasions, however, I have not yet been notified of anything. I think that many times justice is not fair and it has not been fair with me," Olvido said in statements on the aforementioned portal. The television station assured the media that she feels disappointment after this conviction, but even so, she believes in her innocence and in the version that she herself told in the past and that caused so much to talk about in her day.
