Nike joins Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Mbappé and Cristiano in its World Cup ad

Nike is used to making very elaborate announcements when a major tournament is held and the World Cup in Qatar has not been an exception. The American company has had stars of the moment, such as Kylian Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo, but also stars from the past such as Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.

Under the slogan 'The Football Verse', alluding to the metaverse, the sportswear brand places the scene in Geneva (Switzerland), where some scientists wonder who would be better, Mbappé or Ronaldinho from 2006, when he played for Barça . Thanks to some machines they manage to recreate both players, who face one against one.

From there, more footballers appear on the pitch at the request of scientists, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, the Ronaldo Nazário of 2002, with his curious hairstyle, and other current players such as Alex Morgan, Virgil Van Dijk, Sam Kerr, Kevin de Bruyne, Leah Williamson, Phil Foden or Carli Lloyd.

Other Nike ads have remained in the retina of soccer fans, such as the one developed in a coliseum, where several players face demons, or the one featuring several members of the Brazilian team of yesteryear (Denilson, Roberto Carlos, Romario, Ronaldo, Juninho. ..) they are passing the ball in an airport.

The American company will dress some of the most important teams of the World Cup in Qatar that begins this Sunday. A total of 13 national teams will wear a Nike kit, including Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, England and France, which is the current champion. The other most represented brand is Adidas, which is also in charge of manufacturing the ball.
